This is my first attempt on creating my own puto cheese. Since I don't have an oven and I love cooking or creating any kinds of desserts like these...
So,what are we waiting for...
Let's Get Started...
First, we must prepare the following ingredients:
- 4 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp. of baking powder
- 1 stick of butter (melted)
- 1 cup of evaporated milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 cups of water
- Slices of cheese for toppings
- water for steaming.
Let's mix it all together in a mixing bowl...
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. The flour, white sugar, baking powder and mix them together until they properly mixed.
Then, add the egg, melted butter, milk and water. Mix all ingredients throughly until it looks like these...
Pour the mixture into silicon cupcake molds or aluminum molds.
- If you are using the aluminum molders, don't forget to grease the molders with butter so that the puto won't stick to the molder when steamed.
- It is much easier to use the silicon molder, aside from the fact that i't wont stick to the puto after steaming, it is much easier to remove.
Arrange the molders in the steamer and cover it. In this case, I used the combination of silicon and aluminum molders to maximize the space of the steamer.

| I tried to use my new silicon molder just to fill up the center space of the steamer. |
Steam them for 15 to 20 minutes. To check if the puto is done, you can insert a toothpick to the puto and if the toothpick comes clean when you pulled it out, it means it is done..
Served it and let it cool. This is a good merienda meal with orange juice or any samalamig.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope you like the blog.
