Old Fashion Pancake Recipe

After several attempts on creating a pancake from scratch, I finally have my own recipe that's perfect for me. So what are we waiting for?

Let's get started...

All we need is...

  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 2 cups of evaporated milk
  • 4 tbsp of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp of melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 pinch of salt

and now, let mix them together...

Mix all the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir them all together until they are evenly mixed. Then, add the egg, butter and evaporated milk. Mix throughly.

  • Note: Do not overmix the ingredient so that you won't get a sticky pancake in the end.
  • Check if the mixture is looks like this:

Prepare the frying pan and grease it with butter. Scoop the mixture and drop it in the frying pan. (It depends on how many pancakes can fit in your pan)

If the bottom start to turn into golden brown, flip the pancake and let the other side turn into a golden brown as well.

Once done, set aside and let's create our own pancake syrup...

Just let the 1/2 cup of sugar melt in the dry frying pan. When the sugar starts to melt, add 1/4 cup of water and mix them together until the syrups start to thicken and smoothen.

After creating the syrup, pour it to the pancakes and enjoy the fluffy and tasty pancake over breakfast.

This is also good for merienda and snacks with juice on the side :)

Thanks a lot for dropping by, hope you like it...
